Neil Simon teams up with the short sketch’s of Anton Chekhov in this series of comedic stories that highlight the foibles of life at every turn. In one sketch a father looses his nerve when he aborts his guided tour of a house of ill-repute for his young son. In another classic tale a man offers to drown himself for a mere three rubles. In a third story a married woman outsmarts her potential seducer who thinks he’s been in charge all along. All are funny, warm tales played out by the cast of this Presque Isle readers theater now in its 13th season.
Anyone interested is encouraged to try out for the several clever parts on Wednesday, August 23, 2017 at 6:30pm at the Presque Isle Community building. No memorizing required since the entire cast uses their scripts while acting out their zany characters. There is a minimal number of rehearsals prior to the actual performances which take place on September 15 and 16th. Great fun is had by all – audience and cast included! Do yourself a favor and let your inner actor shine in D & D’s fall production of “The Good Doctor” by Neil Simon.
