Denim & Dessert Readers Theatre presents “A Night of Old Time Radio Live – Grisly Murders & Lots of Laughter”
Denim & Dessert Readers Theatre presents “A Night of Old Time Radio Live – Grisly Murders & Lots of Laughter” at 7 PM Friday and Saturday May 6 and 7, 2022. No advance reservations, first come best seats. Doors open at 6:30.
Players will entertain with the adventures of wily private eye Sam Spade and bantering insurance investigator Johnny Dollar. For something totally different, witty teacher Our Miss Brooks tries to reduce her rent by selling the same hats to her colleagues and friends as “exclusive” gifts, what could go wrong?
Come see “The Blood Money Caper”, “Mrs. Davis’ Mother’s Day Millinery”, and “Murder Is A Merry Go Round” free with donations gladly accepted. The show is performed at the Presque Isle Community Center at 8306 School Loop Road, just 1100 miles off Broadway. There’s a cash bar before and during intermissions, and complimentary coffee and dessert after the show.
As true community theatre, actors from Presque Isle, Lac du Flambeau, Mani Waters, Winchester and Marinesco include Babs Bolduc, Sharon Bridges, Mary Watkins, Kath Wilson, Rich Schmalzer, Darrell Smith, Grant Birmingham, Dave Vogt and Richard Phillips.
Tech whiz is Tom Erickson assisted by Tom Preston and Jim Schwartzburg. Penny Zobel, Kathy Sprester, Carol Phillips and Helyn Woolf work behind the scenes. Directors are Jay Woolf, Pam Eschenbauch and Susie Gawriluk.
