The popular Denim & Dessert Readers’ Theatre presents the wild comedy, “Tuna Does Vegas” in Presque Isle at the Community Center on Fri. May 6 and Sat. May 7, 2016, at 7 PM. Admission is free with donations welcome. A cash beverage bar is available from 6:30 PM and at intermission. After the show, complimentary coffee and home-made cookies and bakery are served.
The volunteer troupe has previously presented “A Tuna Christmas” and “Red, White and Tuna”. “Tuna Does Vegas” is the hilarious new installment re-uniting the lovable, eccentric characters from “the third smallest town in Texas” as they take a rambling romp in Sin City. The fun begins when oddball radio host Arles Struvie announces on air that he and wife Bertha Bumiller are heading to Vegas to renew their wedding vows; then everyone in Tuna goes along for the ride.
Written by Jaston Williams, Joe Sears and Ed Howard, the cast will feature Dave Vogt, Dick Smith, Pam Eschenbauch, Charley Helfert, Eric Johnson, Cela McGinnis, Barbara Just, Judy Erickson, Becky Jirikowic and Babs Bolduc plus a few other jovial characters. Directed by Tom Erickson and assisted by willing members of Denim & Dessert, this is a spring treat. Advance reservations not necessary, first come first serve for best seating. The Presque Isle Community Center is located off County B at 8306 School Loop Rd, behind the Fire Barn.
Auditions will be April 27th at 6:30pm
