Last Wilderness 5K/10K Run and 5K Walk

We welcome runners, joggers, walkers, strollers, and leashed dogs.  Our 2017 route is a NEW one, starting off along our historic rearing ponds, and through pine, hardwood, and river-lined backroads — roads are paved or hard crushed gravel. All participants receive a tshirt; and prizes are awarded to the fastest female/male under 18, 18-59, and 60+ in both the 5K & 10K divisions.

ALSO… we are again hosting a FREE Kids Bobber Run Around the Pond for youth 12 & under. Registration forms are required for all young runners and all youth runners receive a special “FINISHER” prize.

RUN/WALK Schedule:

• Same Day Registration 8:00am
• All Wilderness Run Participants Check-In by 8:30am
• 10K Run Start 9am | Walkers and 5K Run Start 9:25am
• Kids Fun Run ~10:00am

Meet at the Pipke Park Hut with parking at the American Legion (about 1/8 mile walk to the building from parking). There are bathrooms and places (unsecured) to leave your belongings during the run. The 2017 Run/Walk is followed by PRESQUE ISLE DAY EVENTS, ongoing until 3pm and including:

• SUP and kayak demos,
• Guided nature walks,
• Lake pontoon cruises,
• Picnic lunches and buckets ‘o beer,
• Bike-related event by our Wilderness Pedalers, and
• MORE!

Proceeds support the Presque Isle Chamber of Commerce, a non-profit dedicated to greater economic sustainability for our little, lovely, tourism-centric town. We thank you for your support.
