Area Events

Join Discovery Center staff for a paddle on the scenic Presque Isle River just north of Presque Isle, and over the border into Michigan. This leisurely 4-mile section of the river meanders through the Ottawa National Forest, opening into a large flood plain providing the opportunity to see songbirds, nesting waterfowl, and shorebirds from your canoe. Pack binoculars, water, snacks, bug repellent, sunscreen, and a lunch. Canoes/PFDs provided. Pre-register by 6/01, space is limited. $25/person ($20 Members).
