“Vladimir Goes for the Gold” – Play by the Traveling Lantern Theater Company

All ages theater performance, held in conjunction wit the library summer reading program “On Your Mark, Get Set… Read!” Weather permitting, the play will be performed on the Discovery Center’s outdoor amphitheater stage overlooking the lake. “Vladimir Goes for Gold” tells the story of a young athlete who takes you on an Olympic adventure! Meet Vladimir : Champion Badminton player, and sole athlete from the tiny People’s Republic of Insurgistan, as he prepares to compete at the Olympic Games. The night before his big day, he has an enthralling dream that takes him to Ancient Olympia, where to meets the Olympic Herald and teams up with the audience to explore the first Olympic Games. Fun, interactive, educational, and entertaining!
